We all probably know about fire safety, but did you know that there are a few things you can do to make your candles last longer, burn better, and give off the strongest and purest fragrances? Here are a few tips on safe candle usage and how to take the best care of your Friday Collective candles.

Set the Vibe:
Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant coaster or tray so that your surfaces are protected from the heat of the candle.
Trim your wick to the length stated on the bottom label of your candle.

During the Burn:
If you want to reduce flickering and smoke, keep your candle away from drafts like fans, AC vents, etc.
Let the wax pool. For the best burn and boldest fragrance, let your candle burn until the entire top layer becomes a pool of liquid wax from edge to edge before extinguishing the flame.

The Party’s Over:
Save your wishes for your birthday candles. Be gentle while blowing them out to avoid splashing the wax.
When the wax is ½ of an inch or less from the bottom of the jar, it’s time to replace your candle. We encourage you to recycle your jar or upcycle it into something new and treat yourself to a new fragrance!

Helpful Tips:
- Avoid burning candles in drafts.
- Never leave lit candles unattended
- Store candles in a cool, dry place
- Handle glass containers with care
